Probation End Date Calculator
Calculate when an employee's probation period ends from a joining date and probation length in days, weeks, or months. Choose calendar or business days and optionally include the joining date.
Enter your joining date.
Next step: Joining Date Calculator
How it works
Enter the joining date and how long the probation period runs. Days and weeks add calendar or business time forward from the joining date; months use calendar-month math on the UTC calendar (with end-of-month clamping when needed)—the same rules as the Notice Period Calculator.
Calendar mode counts every UTC calendar day in the span. Business-day mode skips weekends and can optionally skip a sample US federal holiday list. When the unit is weeks in business-day mode, each week counts as five business days.
The optional “Include joining date” setting treats the joining day as day one when enabled; otherwise the joining date is not counted toward the length.

FAQ
- How do I calculate a probation end date?
- Enter the joining date, the probation length, and the unit (days, weeks, or months). Choose calendar or business days and whether the joining date counts as day one. The calculator shows the probation end date.
- How is this different from the Notice Period Calculator?
- Same underlying date math—start date plus a length, calendar or business days—applied to a joining date and probation length instead of a notice start date and notice length.
- Is this legal or HR advice?
- No. Probation rules vary by jurisdiction, contract, and company policy. Use this date for planning and confirm with your employment contract, HR team, or a qualified advisor.
